Hi, I'm Kim Campbell-Sullivan

In my 15 years working on my craft I have learned a few things about my style: I love to celebrate freckles, big laughs, moments of connection, diversity and bodies of all shapes and sizes. Those in-between meaningful and real-life moments. I hope you will trust me to capture your unique personality in a fun and relaxed photo session together!

I'm Chinese-Canadian and have lived half my life in the vibrant & chaotic city of Hong Kong. Much of the colour, movement and energy in my work grew out of my experiences living in Asia. I have also lived in Kenya, Switzerland, Jamaica, Bangladesh, Canada and Japan.

With two cheeky little children I know all about the unpredictability of kids in front of the camera! Whenever we can, our family loves to get out to all the nearby beaches with our rescue dog, Kila.

While photography is my main focus, I am also a children's book writer and illustrator, painter and a qualified visual arts teacher. My passion is to help everyone, at any age, to get out there and connect with their most creative selves.
Why lemontea?
When I'm in Hong Kong, I spend a lot of time in the local restaurants that you can find in every neighbourhood. Usually you get the same noodle and rice dishes on the menu, a kind of reliable comfort food, and - always on a sweltering summer's day - a glass of cool iced lemon tea. My shooting philosophy feels the same: a place where everyone is invited; a space that feels inclusive, comforting, relaxed and full of joy! Getting to know a little bit about you before a photo session (through a phone call or email) allows me to create that kind of environment when it's time to actually snap photos. I'm also here to help with location scouting, outfit planning and putting your mind at ease about what to expect. The best part? All you have to do is show up as yourself!
Now a proud resident of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, I am lucky to have any number of beautiful outdoor locations to choose from. I am available for family, maternity, newborn, couples, portrait & branding photo sessions in the South Shore area (including Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Chester) as well as Halifax and other parts of Nova Scotia (transportation fees apply).
